beer bread

Makes 1 loaf

3 cups sifted self-rising flour

1 12 oz bottle of beer (My choice is Shiner Bock)

¼ cup sugar

½ cup melted butter

Preheat oven to 375. Combine all ingredients, then pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean and dry. Enjoy!

BONUS: Can top batter with kosher salt and/or any herbs you would like. My preference is to sprinkle the top with kosher salt, minced garlic, and fresh rosemary. I also like to add a few pats of butter on top about 45 minutes into the baking process.
